I recently moved from warm and humid Asia to America, and my skin is screaming protest
to sudden temperature changes. My once supple facial skin becomes extremely dry and
flaky, and I also get a few really ugly scaly patches on my legs during the winter
months. I have a real hard time finding moisturizers that will help retain moisture
and improve dehydrated skin. Can you tell me what products can I put on my dry itchy
skin to keep it looking radiant in cold weather?
I have shoulder length baby fine hair that is very thin and tends to get very oily
at the roots really quickly. I have tried many shampoos from different brands to
control oily hair and give my flat hair more volume but none really seemed to do
the trick. I remember a friend telling me about beer hair treatment and how well
it worked on greasy limp hair.
I'm just wondering if you have any idea on what is the best way to get rid of under
eye bags quickly besides cosmetic surgery or botox. I've tried all kinds of eye creams
to fix puffy eyes over the years but nothing really helped. I always seem to have
heavy baggy eyes in the morning and despite having enough sleep (about 8 hours) every
night, they still won't go away. I'm only in my twenties but my stubborn puffy under
eye bags made me look much older than my age.
It happens to all of us. Good company, incessant holiday binges, and booze-filled
holiday gatherings can derail your best efforts to keep a healthy diet. Before you
know it, the numbers on the bathroom scale creep up slowly, and your pre-holiday
clothes feel uncomfortably tight. You want to lose weight in the shortest time possible
and get back to "normal" shape after holiday feasting.
My husband lost his job recently and money is really tight at the moment. We have
2 teenage sons going through major growth spurts, but frankly we cannot afford plenty
of food to satisfy their ravenous appetites everyday. I'm looking for ways to save
on groceries so that I can put more food on the table.
I don't know why, but my hair tends to get greasy and sticky really quickly. I've
to wash my hair everyday or else it'll look and feel terribly oily. But sometimes
when I'm busy or running late for work, I have no time to wash my hair. I overheard
a girl on the bus telling her friend that she washes her hair without any water whatsoever.
Well, that's something totally new to me, and my question is how can I wash oily
hair without water?
Just wondering if I'm the only mom among your readers with this problem – my kids
refuse to eat fruits. Each time I serve them (20 month old toddler and a 5-year-old)
cut fruits, they either scream in disgust or spit it out when I'm not looking. Should
I force my fussy kids to take fruits or incorporate more veggies in their diet instead?
Any creative ways to make children eat fruits?
